MakHill Girls’ Vocational Secondary School is committed to responsible and transparent management of all funds received from parents, donors, partners, and well-wishers. All resources are handled in accordance with Catholic values, good governance practices, and the laws of Uganda.

Sources of Funds

MakHill Girls’ Vocational Secondary School receives financial support from various sources that enable the school to run its academic, vocational, and spiritual programs effectively. These include:

School Fees Contributions from parents and guardians support daily school operations, teaching and learning materials, staff welfare, and essential student services.

Donations & Sponsorships
Individuals, organizations, and well-wishers provide financial and material support for students, infrastructure development, and special school programs.

Church & Partner Support
The Catholic Church, diocesan bodies, and development partners contribute to the school’s mission through funding, facilities, and pastoral support.

Fundraising & Project Grants
Resources are raised through organized fundraising activities and project-based grants supporting infrastructure development, vocational training, and institutional growth.

Use of Funds

Funds received by MakHill Girls’ Vocational Secondary School are carefully planned and allocated to support the core mission of the school, including:

 DevelopmentTeaching & Learning Support Funds are used to provide textbooks, instructional materials, laboratory supplies, ICT resources, and other tools that strengthen teaching effectiveness and academic performance.

 Vocational Training & Skills Development
Resources support the purchase and maintenance of equipment, tools, and materials for vocational programmes such as tailoring, carpentry, plumbing, catering, and ICT training.

Student Welfare & School Environment
Support is allocated to student feeding, accommodation, health care, sanitation, and maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment.

 Infrastructure, Staff & Spiritual Development
Funds contribute to construction and maintenance of school facilities, staff training and welfare, and chaplaincy programs that promote spiritual growth, counseling, and moral formation.

Financial Management & Accountability

All funds received by MakHill Girls’ Vocational Secondary School are managed by the school administration and finance office in accordance with established financial policies and procedures. The school maintains proper and up-to-date records for all income and expenditure, ensuring that every transaction is documented and traceable.

Annual budgets are carefully prepared, reviewed, and approved to guide the effective use of resources in line with the school’s academic, vocational, and pastoral priorities. Expenditure is controlled through authorized approval processes to ensure funds are used only for their intended purposes.

Regular internal reviews and audits are carried out to assess compliance with financial regulations, promote transparency, and strengthen accountability. Where required, external audits and inspections are facilitated to provide independent assurance to donors, partners, and stakeholders that all resources are managed with integrity and responsibility.
